We are constructing a new taxiway as a key investment in the efficiency, safety, and long-term capacity of our airport operations. A new taxiway will enhance operational safety by minimising bottlenecks and reducing the potential for ground conflicts. Further upgrades to the airfield Apron areas are also underway to accommodate increased air traffic and larger and heavier aircraft.
Looking ahead, these developments position the airport to accommodate future growth in air traffic and passenger and freight demand.
Airfield lighting is also being upgraded to improve visibility during takeoff, landing, and taxiing, especially in low-light or poor weather conditions.
LED lighting also helps to save on energy and maintenance costs, and these upgrades support our environmental goals by using sustainable materials and reducing energy consumption.
