  • What time can I check in for my flight?

    Jetstar Check-in opens 120 minutes before the scheduled flight departure time. Both Qantas Airways and Virgin Australia open Check-in 90 minutes before the scheduled departure time.

  • Can I store my luggage at the airport?

    Yes. You can store your luggage for up to nine days. Lockers are located in the Short Stay Carpark and fees start from $8 for a medium locker for up to 12 hours. Find out additional fees here

  • Are trolleys available to assist movement of luggage?

    Yes. Luggage trolleys are located outside both the Check-in Hall and the Arrivals Hall. There is a fee of $5 payable by credit or debit card and once the trolley is returned, $1 will be credited back to your card.

  • Are there ATMs or banking facilities at Launceston Airport?

    There are no banking facilities or ATMs at Launceston Airport. The nearest facilities are in Kings Meadows approximately 10 minutes-drive away. The Launceston Store may be able to provide a small amount of cash withdrawal when you make a purchase at the store. 

  • Are there facilities for nappy changing and feeding?

    Yes. Parents' rooms are located in the toilet amenities areas in the Check-in Hall, Departures Hall, Gate Lounge and Arrivals Hall.

  • Does Launceston Airport have showering facilities for travellers?

    Launceston Airport does not have shower facilities.

  • Can I access all areas of the terminal if I have mobility impairment?

    Yes. There are three lifts in the terminal. Two between the Departures Hall and Gate Lounges, and one at the centre of the building accessed from the undercover walkway outside to reach Reception on Level 1.

  • Is there a place to refill my water bottle at Launceston Airport?

    Yes. Water refill stations are located in the Check-in Hall, Departures Hall, Gate Lounge and Arrivals Hall near the toilet amenities.

  • Is there a public telephone at Launceston Airport?

    Yes. There is a Telstra public telephone located outside the terminal building approximately half way between the Check-in Hall and the Arrivals Hall in the undercover walkway. Refer to the Terminal map.

  • Is there a public bus service to Launceston Airport?

    Currently there are no public buses to or from Launceston Airport. Minibus transfers, Uber and Taxis are the most convenient way to get to/from the Airport if you do not have your own car or a rental vehicle. Visit our transport pages to find out more.

  • Is there a place to relieve my service dog?

    Yes. The Service Dog relief area is located on the grassed area between the Short Stay Carpark and the Rental Car parking area before you enter the terminal building. Refer to the car parking map.

  • Is there a designated Meeting Point at Launceston Airport?

    Yes. There is a meeting point in the Arrivals Hall indicated by a meeting point sign near the exit.
