Stay Connected with Wi-Fi Access

Launceston Airport is pleased to offer free Wi-Fi access throughout our terminal which is available in all public areas and gate lounges.

Simply connect to the “Airport Free Wi-Fi” network and answer a few short survey questions to commence your session. Please refer to our terms and conditions for Wi-Fi usage.

Airport Free Wi-Fi service is not encrypted, so please consider the security of your personal information and other data when using this free service.

To assist you in connecting to the free Wi-Fi, we recommend the following:

Ensure you are on the latest version of the mobile device operating system. Please refer to your operating manual for instructions on how to update your device.

• Clear browser cookies and cache (browsing history).
• Turn ON cookies (at least from visited web sites).
• Turn OFF private browsing.
• Set your IP address settings to automatic.
• Close unnecessary applications to free mobile device memory.
• Disable data service (eg. GPRS or 3G) to avoid a roaming service fee.
• Select “Airport Free Wi-Fi” as your connection network.
• Launch an internet browser and enter any valid website address to use the Wi-Fi.
• Disconnect your device from the Wi-Fi network after use.

We’re happy to offer you free Wi-Fi while you’re at the airport. To keep things smooth and safe for everyone, here are a few simple things to know before you connect.

Getting Connected

• You’ll need your own device (with Wi-Fi) and power.
• Wi-Fi availability may vary depending on how many people are using it and where you are in the airport.

Speed & Performance

Wi-Fi speed can change based on your device, how far you are from a hotspot, and how busy the network is.

• We do our best to keep it stable, but it’s not guaranteed to be perfect or always available.
• It’s best not to use this network for anything that needs a constant, high-speed connection.

Be a Good Digital Citizen

To keep things safe and family-friendly, we may block or limit certain websites or content—especially if it’s:

• Illegal, unsafe, or offensive
• Spammy or harmful
• Inappropriate (e.g. adult content, violence, hate speech)

Please use the Wi-Fi with care and respect for others around you.

Things That Might Disconnect You

We might suspend or limit your access if:

• You break the rules
• You try to bypass restrictions
• You use the network in a disruptive or unsafe way
• There’s a technical issue or emergency

Tip: If you're downloading something and get logged out, the file might be lost. Save your work regularly just in case!

Your Privacy & Security

• The internet isn’t always secure, so please be careful.
• You're responsible for protecting your own device and info.
• We collect a little bit of info (like your name, device type, and location) to help us provide the service. We follow privacy laws and keep your info safe.
• We can’t control how other websites handle your data—check their privacy policies if you’re unsure.

• All the tech and content that runs this Wi-Fi belongs to Launceston Airport or its partners.
• You’re welcome to use it while you’re here, but it’s not yours to copy or reuse elsewhere.

• While we try to offer a smooth experience, we can’t guarantee it’ll always be fast, secure, or error-free.
• We’re not responsible for any:

Free Wi-Fi Sessions

You can use the free Wi-Fi for up to 3 hours at a time. After that, you’ll be logged out—but you can reconnect and start a new session if needed.
